A thousand words cannot thank you enough for sharing your passion for teaching. Your words of wisdom will live on through my teaching practices and I only hope I can have the same impact on students.
Danielle, Years 6 classroom teacher
I have grown so much as a teacher under Robyn’s ‘wing’. Although the school terms can get very busy Robyn completely understood and was flexible to suit our timetables and worked around any obstacles. I feel my teaching has improved immensely with Robyn’s guidance.
Rachel, Year 2 Classroom teacher
I have really loved working with you over the last term and have learnt so, so much. You really have mastered ‘growing children’s minds’ down to a fine art and you are truly an inspiration. I loved watching you in action with the kids and hope that one day it will come as naturally to me as it does to you.
Kirsty, Year 5 classroom teacher
You make every lesson a work of art and build a platform that rockets all concerned into a frenzy of habitual learning.
Kevin, Years 4-9 numeracy coach
You taught me to “dare to be different” and I hope I can make as much difference in children’s lives as I have seen you do.
Laura, Year 7 classroom teacher
Your attitude is amazing and infectious. You’ve had such a profound effect on me in such a short time.
Nathan, Year 1 classroom teacher
You’ve made me the teacher I am today and will be a constant inspiration to the teacher I become in the future.
Sarah, Year 5 classroom teacher
As a graduate teacher it was great having someone with your experience and passion for the craft teach me. I know that I have improved my skills because of it. My room feels engaging and can cater to all my students because it has been “Cotter-fied”.
Lauren, Year 2 classroom teacher
I have loved the Teaching with a Feather program. Robyn is such a warm and approachable person to have in your room – very friendly and she has so much great advice.
Stephanie, Year 2 classroom teacher
The changes I made in my classroom during my TWAF journey had such a positive impact on social, problem-solving and thinking skills with my students. I saw my students making connections by themselves instead of constantly asking where to next. I saw five year olds be critical of their own thinking and especially with our inquiry topic in the last term, I saw students put their best foot forward. I have an array of strategies to use from day one with a brand new bunch of Preps in 2016.
Tyson, Prep classroom teacher
Doing this PD has made being back in the classroom even more satisfying and exciting for me. TWAF is an exciting and invigorating approach. The natural open style of teaching show students that the teacher respects and values them as a learner.
Ineke, Year 2 classroom teacher
It is a great privilege to be working with Robyn. She has so much experience and so many wonderful strategies to help every single child in the classroom. It is just mind blowing watching Robyn modelling in the classroom the excellent strategies that have been tried and tested throughout Robyn’s teaching career, she is just an amazing lady who is very dedicated to all she does. We are very lucky to have Robyn come in and guide us through this journey.
Kamaljeet, Year 5 classroom teacher
I now have to add Robyn Cotter to my inspiration list. With myself ‘talking and directing less’ it has now given the students a chance to show me their true colours, and I must say how proud I am of them. I now have time to observe, listen and question without feeling I am doing all the work. The tables are turning and it is the students now advising me what they are thinking/learning.
Alison, Year 2 classroom teacher
